From Friday to Sunday, the festival Much More May, organized by the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena, has offered different dance proposals from the sections of Training Laboratory and Living Arts.
The events began on Friday 10th from 9:30 p.m. in the courtyard of the old CIM, where the show Bruma of the company Isabel Lavella showed an internal perspective of emotions, imbalance and fear.
The piece begins at the end of its history and ends at its origin, taking us by the hand towards an incessant haze with dancers and actors of different nationalities with migratory and uprooting experiences.
Their stories are intertwined with images and choreographies that treat in a seemingly chaotic manner a synchrony and order within the structure itself.
On Saturday 11 at 7 pm at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, the company maRRoch offered its contemporary dance show 'Entre Nosotros'.
The piece showed how every interpersonal relationship carries with it an additional weight, the responsibility of treating that person well, taking care of them, being able to discuss and know how to reconcile.
On the other hand, the acts of Sunday began with a family dance class at 12 noon in the dance and movement studio of Margarita Amante, given by Chussa Alcaraz.
Contakids is a non-hierarchical and non-verbal class that promotes communication among participants through play, movement and physical contact.
The company Otradanza presented its Ikebana, putting the finishing touches to the dance acts of the weekend in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento at 7:00 p.m.
Ikebana (生 花 Living Flower) focused on showing the ancient Japanese tradition of the art of floral arrangements that intertwines the ephemeral sense of nature with that of humanity.
