In this sense, Manuel Padín recalled that "populations such as Móstoles, a municipality of 206,000 inhabitants managed to reach 2,400 places in 2018, and shows that it is possible to meet the strong demand that exists in Cartagena."

"Other municipalities such as Albacete reserve almost one million euros from the municipal budget for this plan with which it reaches 5,000 places, Murcia allocates almost 500,000 euros to the Summer School program and manages to reach 2,500 seats, in San Javier, with a population of just over 30,000 inhabitants, it reaches 1,000 places, while in Cartagena we are at 110,000 euros and with the number of places practically stagnant at 1,400 since 2016, "explained the Citizen spokesman. "Citizens will work to improve the regional game, but neither the PP nor the local PSOE have wanted or known to take advantage of all the tools we have to improve the offer and that go through the progressive increase in the municipal budget until doubling it, and the firm of collaboration agreements with social foundations of banking entities and other platforms, "says Padín.

For the spokesperson of Cs, "that more than 1,500 applications are rejected does not have to reflect because there are many working parents who can not afford to pay leisure programs and healthy free time for their children outside of municipal programming", says Manuel Padín.
