Alameda de San Antón open to traffic (06/05/2019)

Last Friday, May 3, the section of the Alameda was opened to traffic from Plaza de España to San Antón, cut last week for the renewal of its asphalt.

According to sources have informed the Department of Public Services, throughout this week is not expected to produce new cuts, except for some that will be carried out in this same section in a timely manner, but without completely interrupting circulation, to level the new asphalt conglomerate with sewer covers, scuppers and sidewalks and small touches.

On the other hand, the horizontal signage of the avenue in this section, through its painting, is planned for the nights of Thursday 9 and Friday 10 May, in order to have the lowest possible impact on traffic.

The same sources have reported that the cuts on the avenue will reoccur from Monday, May 13.

until Friday the 17th. They will affect the sense from Plaza de María Cristina to Plaza de España and will be done in a staggered way, just like last week in the other direction.

Thus, on Monday, May 13, traffic will be cut in the stretch between Plaza María Cristina and Trafalgar Street, the next day it will be advanced to Soldado Rosique and the other to Plaza de España.

Traffic and urban buses will be diverted in these cases by alternative itineraries, Maria Cristina's plaza, popularly known as the coat of arms, is always open to traffic.
