The Federation of Associations and Centers for the Elderly of Cartagena and the Comarca together with the Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena, has organized a training session aimed at all managers of senior clubs in our municipality, which will take place this Tuesday, March 30, in the assembly hall of the National University of Distance Education.
The inscriptions can be made in the Federation of Associations and Centers for the Elderly of Cartagena and the Shire.
Multipurpose premises, located in the neighborhood of Concepción C / Mayor, 28.
Under the title of "Strategies for Prevention and Protection of the Elderly", they will address the different ways of dealing with loneliness by older people, from different areas, both public and private, so as not to increase their vulnerability .
These days reach its eighteenth edition.
Every year current issues are addressed, trying to make available to the elderly a varied range of training topics of interest, allowing them to acquire, update and expand their knowledge and skills to promote their personal development, as well as participation in the various sectors of social life.
It is expected that some 150 elderly people, belonging to the boards of the 43 clubs in our municipality, as well as professionals from the social sphere, will attend them, and the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, the Councilor for Social Services, Mercedes García, plans to attend. and the president of the federation of elders, María Beteta.
