The School of Industrialists of the UPCT has participated in Movieléctrica 2019 as a center that teaches the qualifications that allow training in the field of electric mobility (14/04/2019)

The Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering (ETSII) of the UPCT has participated in the Movieléctrica 2019 fair, dedicated to the promotion of electric mobility as a solution to improve mobility needs in cities.

In this fair, organized by the Association of Users of Electric Vehicles (AUVE) and Cities Forum, and in which the School of Industrialists of the UPCT has collaborated, the exhibition of new products and systems for electric mobility has been carried out and the advances that are being developed in this area, and within it a symposium has taken place in which the future of this sector has been analyzed.

Roque Torres, professor and researcher of the School of Industrialists of the UPCT, has participated in the discussion table dedicated to the analysis of the future of electric mobility in the Region of Murcia that has taken place within this fair, in which he has acted as moderator Jaime Ruiz Huescar, Director of Cities Forum, and also with the participation of the General Director of ANPIER, the President of FREMM and the Director of the Chair of Mobility and Sustainable Transport of the Metropolitan Area of Murcia.

"The Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering of the UPCT is the university center of the Region of Murcia in which the academic degree and master's degrees that are required especially to be trained in the different professional profiles needed to work in the field are taught. of electric vehicles, energy production and sustainable mobility ", explains Professor Roque Torres, who has participated in this fair representing the School of Industrialists of the UPCT.

"In our School we have numerous research groups working on different topics related to the field of electric mobility, energy efficiency and other related fields, and we have various competition teams and technology associations in which our students also develop prototypes of electric vehicles, "adds Professor Roque Torres.

"In the Master in Industrial Engineering we taught an optional block that includes four subjects that allow us to specialize in the design of electric vehicles, and in the practices of these subjects our students have carried out the conversion of a gasoline buggie in a motorized car electric ", says Roque Torres during the course of the discussion table.

"We have the main degrees and masters that allow you to train in the different disciplines required to work in the field of electric mobility, among which are not only the Degree in Electrical Engineering, Master in Renewable Energy, Master in Electronic Systems and Instrumentation, Degree in Industrial Electronics and Automation and Master in Industrial Engineering, but also the rest of our official bachelor's and master's degree programs, since each of them allows you to specialize in different topics needed for this field, such as the design of the mechanical systems for these vehicles, the development of new materials for the improvement of the efficiency of the batteries, the optimization of the logistics in the cities, the monitoring of the polluting emissions, etc. ", highlights this professor of the School of Industrialists.
