'Your presence' by Victoria Chezner, at the Roman Theater Museum (04/04/2019)

In the temporary exhibition 'Tu presencia', which opens this Friday, April 5, at 8:00 p.m., at the Museo Teatro Romano in Cartagena, the artist Victoria Chezner starts from the cultural character of the landscape, and shows a look that is at the same time panoramic and meticulous, contextual and individual, where drawing and painting, perspective, and color work convey that commitment of the artist with beauty and with nature.

The exhibition, which will be available in the temporary exhibition room until June 24, goes deep into the landscape again, which is the hallmark of Victoria Chezner, and its target in artistic research.

A trajectory marked by the incessant involvement with the study of the landscape, which he has defended from the sensitive gaze but also under his emotional intelligence.

Victoria Chezner, presents through three great works that living nature where forests coexist with old dry roots and tangled, showing the particular universe of the artist.

In Anatomy of a process, a monumental work of six meters long, the protagonist is the lost and lost nature, with its withered colors and rebellious languor.

The vision displayed by the artist seeks to move us to the forest floor, and allows us to hear the touch of our feet in the vegetable caress and dilate our pupils with their different colors, for their different stages of life and light.

In the minor format series, details such as the oak leaf, the tangled hawthorn or the branches, the twisted shapes of the trunks or the rumble of the bushes are emphasized ..., acting in a complementary way to the great pictorial works, as well the artist studies the capricious location of some trees, either on the edge of a cliff or sheltering the slopes and gentle valleys.

Victoria Chezner masterfully manages the color and pigments to join the work of art with nature, so the color, which is earth, leaf or resin are born in nature and come to art.

Chezner shows his work in the Roman Theater, and he rescues us with his art one of the most beautiful pictorial styles of Augustus' time, that of introducing nature into the interior of the home, in this case inside the Museum, thus establishing a beautiful dialogue between the ancient world and the contemporary work.
