The gypsy flag will fly on April 8 in Cartagena to face anti-Gypsyism (03/04/2019)

The City Council of Cartagena joins the Commemoration of the International Day of the Gypsy People, a date that recalls the First Roma / Gypsy World Congress, held in London on April 8, 1971, in which the flag and the gypsy anthem were instituted.

A green and blue flag, symbolizing the sky and the field, with a red car wheel in the center, symbolizing the path from India and freedom.

The gypsy hymn, Gelem, gelem (Anduve, anduve), remembers the gypsies and gypsies victims of the Nazi holocaust.
