The journalist José Alberto Bernardeau will present this Tuesday, April 2, his latest book 'Art Galleries in the Region of Murcia 1970-2000'.
It will be at 8:00 pm, at the Josefina Soria Library of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center.
The book describes the emergence and history of 46 theaters in Murcia, Cartagena, Lorca, Molina de Segura, Cieza and other spaces, following sources consulted in newspaper archives and testimonies from galleries, artists, collectors and other cultural agents.
José Alberto Bernardeau is a journalist and doctor in Information and Documentation.
He has served as an art critic in various media, including the EFE Agency and the magazine "Discover Art."
He is a member of the Spanish and International Association of Art Critics.
Nuchi Matrán from the Bisel Gallery will take part in the presentation;
Alfonso García Aznar, from the Gigarpe Gallery;
Luis Artés, from the Bámbara Gallery and the author himself.
The program 'Reading, thinking, imagining', in which this activity fits in, offers a new, very plural and multidisciplinary quarter in which poetry, novels, essays and even cinema, music and sociology have a place. The philosophy.
'Reading, thinking, imagining' is a program organized by the Council of the City of Cartagena together with the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Center, the Department of Equality, the Department of Social Services and the network of Municipal Libraries of Cartagena.
In addition, the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Murcia, the Department of Sociology of the University of Murcia, the bookshop La Montaña Mágica, the FICCMOTECA and, this quarter, the Association of Historical Memory of Cartagena collaborate with the program.
