Meetings Sport + Nutrition = Health at Marist School continue (25/03/2019)

The sports nutritionist-dietitians, Lorena Luján and Víctor Serrano, have given a formative talk to the students of the Marist school to bring more knowledge in this field to the youngest.

This activity is organized by the ADE Program of the Department of Sports

The hall of the school was filled with about 250 students and their teachers of the 1st of ESO and 4th of ESO to listen to the two professionals in the field of dietetics and nutrition.

Lorena Luján and Víctor Serrano have made a very educational and entertaining exhibition to schoolchildren where they have been involved in the activity at all times.

In the first part, Víctor and Lorena have explained the foods and basic components in healthy diets interacting with the students and asking them about their habits at home.

Next, they have given some basic guidelines of good nutrition, giving as an example a dish with colored zones corresponding to each type of food that should be taken at each meal every day.

Lastly, they wanted to link this whole journey with the world of sports, using football as an example, as all the boys and girls knew and that has made the students' interest even more interesting.

This initiative provides basic health knowledge and good habits to young people who increasingly opt for other types of diets not so healthy.

By doing it in this fun and didactic way it awakens their interest and the participation of all of them in the act.

The ADE program is organized by the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena and the Official College of Graduates in Physical Education and Sports of the Autonomous Community.
