This Wednesday, the World Theater Day in Cartagena starts at the Teatro Romano (25/03/2019)

World Theater Day is celebrated and commemorated around the world, since 1962, on March 27, one of the actions is the circulation of the Message for World Theater Day, through which, at the invitation of the ITI (International Institute of Theater), a world-class figure shares his reflections the Theater and the message is translated into different languages ​​and widely distributed.

The first of the events scheduled this week, will take place this Wednesday 27 at 11 am on the scene of the Roman Theater and will consist of the reading of the international manifesto of this year 2019 by the Murcian actor Enrique Martinez.

The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez will also speak.

In the afternoon also on Wednesday, starting at 6pm, the students of the Municipal School of Theater will dramatize the readings of various manifestos from previous years through the squares of the city;

Icue, Plaza San Sebastián, Castellini and at 7pm at Plaza San Francisco.

At 19:30 at the Roman Theater in Cartagena, members of the UARM (Union of Actors of the Murcia region) will reflect on the situation of the profession in our region in a round table organized by the Performing Arts Platform of Cartagena, which will conclude with a dramatization of scenes by Spanish authors such as Alejandro Casona, Evaristo Acevedo and Jardiel Poncela.

The program continues on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center. Living Museum of the Theater in alternative spaces of the different floors, scenes of Fernado Arrabal, Pedro Muñoz Seca, Sanchís Sinisterra, Strindberg, will be performed to welcome the audience to the round table of the 19h: `Schools Passion for the Enseñanza.

In a meeting of different Schools of Theater of regional scope and of Alicante, they will present their work.

The directors of the schools will take part and will be accompanied by a brief theatrical scene from each of these schools.
