The exhibition begins with the first institute of Cartagena, which emerged in 1869, under the name of Municipal Institute of 2nd Teaching.

Said center was in the headquarters of the school La Purísima Concepción, in San Miguel street.

After a tour of the Secondary School in Cartagena, the exhibition addresses the birth of Isaac Peral in 1951 when he changed his name after being called Instituto Nacional de Enseñanza Media.

It is in 1968 when it is called the center located on Paseo Alfonso XIII, Instituto Isaac Peral, as it is known today.

The exhibition, designed and prepared by Professor Carmen Verdú, is free and may be visited until May 17, at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center.
