During the afternoon of Thursday, March 21, the celebration of the first part of the XXXIX School Competition of Sets in the modality of Rhythmic Sports Gymnastics took place.
The Municipal Pavilion of Wssel de Guimbarda hosted the competition organized by the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena, the General Directorate of Physical Activity and Sports of the Autonomous Community of the Region, as part of the School Age Sports Program.
With a full capacity, the Sports Pavilion lived an afternoon of emotions where the smallest had the opportunity to participate and have fun, but always with sportiness and seriousness that this sport requires on the track.
A total of 100 teams from 19 educational and sports centers enjoyed a sporting afternoon with children and young rhythmic gymnastics fans aged between 3 and 17 years old.
In total about 700 boys and girls participated in this competition.
26 sports instructors trained in the quarry of the Cartagena Gymnastics Project, were responsible for shaping these groups of Municipal Schools that shined during a fun afternoon.
Almost five hours of show with choreography and music made the biggest ones enjoy watching the exhibitions of the Chupetas, Prebenjamín and Benjamín categories;
Alevín, Infantil and Junior.
The team of the Rhythmic Club of Cartagena and San Antón Club Gimansia was present, this last champion of Spain of Group Aesthetic Gymnastics from 2014 to the present, which will participate in the World Championship in mid-May that will take place In our city.
The event was attended by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, and the Councilor for Sports, Manuel Mora.
The next day will take place on Thursday, March 28, also at the Municipal Pavilion, starting at 4:00 p.m.
