Hamilton and Cia. Consigned the Stena Icemax platform in the Port of Cartagena (15/03/2019)

Hamilton and Cia bet on the Port of Cartagena as a safe port to position it in the offshore industry worldwide.

The Stena Icemax oil platform belonging to the shipping company Stena Drilling landed yesterday at 7:00 after 4 hours of maneuvers in the Port of Cartagena at the hands of Hamilton and Cia.

It is expected that during the next 2 months are carried out operations and routine maintenance of some of their equipment.

For such operations Hamilton and Cia plans to work with local staff, workshops and suppliers.

Once the project is completed, the Stena Icemax Platform, coming from Cyprus, will head to Ireland for a drilling project.

Hamilton y Cia is a pioneer in the offshore industry, offering the Port of Cartagena as a safe port to carry out this type of operation with floating devices of this size.

In this way, it is strategically committed to the Region of Murcia, contributing to the dynamism of both the local and provincial business fabric.

The Stema Icemax Platform is part of a series of platforms that will allow positioning the Port of Cartagena in the offshore sector.

In 2018 a first operation was carried out with the Tungsten Explorer (currently DS11), later with the Transocean International 706 and currently with the Stena Icemax.

Both the port authorities and Hamilton and Cia. Have a firm conviction to establish Cartagena as a safe harbor in the offshore sector.

Hamilton y Cia belongs to the shipping company holding company Transcoma Shipping.
