Violet point for the first time at student parties of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT).
The Equality Unit today installed a violet spot on the esplanade of the Muralla del Mar campus. It will be operational throughout the day, on the occasion of the paellas that close the traditional festivities of the Industrial and Telecommunication schools.
"The UPCT should be a space free of sexual assault and this information point is to help victims in case of aggression of any kind," says the director of Equality, María José Lucas.
In the UPCT there is no evidence that there has been any type of sexual assault at parties during its 20 years of existence, according to Lucas.
The Equality Unit aims to install a violet spot in all the parties organized by the University.
