Cartagena, Thursday, February 28.

The Government of the PSOE will have to evaluate and budget the acquisition of its own ambulance and a drone prepared for prevention, surveillance and rescue tasks to be managed by the Civil Protection Service of Cartagena.

The local spokesman of Cs, Manuel Padín, explained in his turn of speech that "any other City Council of the dimensions of ours has these resources, at this time we only have contracts with health entities such as the Red Cross for rent, but we do not have of any ambulance of basic life support that is property of the City council to do preventives in the multiple municipal events that are organized when they do not cover the services of emergencies, as it is done in any other city ".

Manuel Padín explained that "this initiative is one of the consequences of the exhaustive round of meetings that we began with the new Civil Protection coordinator, Sergio Gil, and that we then had with various professionals from the emergency services of the 061, Red Cross Spanish, and Civil Protection in other municipalities along with other health professionals who operate in Cartagena and its District ".

On the other hand, Citizens has achieved that the Plenary endorse the creation of a Psychosocial Unit for Emergencies (UPSE) in Civil Protection having its own regulations and a specific activation protocol, "it is about assembling interdisciplinary teams composed of psychologists, social workers, health professionals and other professionals to collaborate with emergency services and act on people affected by a catastrophe or loss of a family member or loved one, something that already works in other municipalities with very good results "

In addition, the proposal of Cs will promote the creation of collaboration agreements with the regional Administration, emergency services 061, UPCT, and other entities and that the mobile fleet is increased if the 2019 budget allows it.

Finally, a specific website will be created in which relevant information related to the concept of volunteering and new campaigns for the promotion of the service and updating of the regulation that regulates Civil Protection will be published, "is from the year 2002, so we believe that no it adapts to the new experience or to the new state regulations ", concludes Padín.
