José López reminds Castejón that MC has recovered 16 million euros for Cartagena's water service (28/02/2019)

This morning, the mayor has indicated that the concessionaire of the municipal water service, Hidrogea, must return five million euros for the liquidations of the years 2015, 2016 and 2017.

In relation to this matter, the spokesman of the MC Cartagena municipal group, José López, has shown that "there are already more than 16 million euros recovered by our training since 2012 in relation to the municipal water service."

In this sense, he recalled that "in July 2017, we promoted from our responsibilities the claim of surpluses of 2015 and 2016, together with adjustments of previous years, although, until today, Castejón has not wanted to collect them."

In view of this, López has asked about the motivations that led the mayor to carry out the liquidations of 2015 and 2016 until this Governing Board in February 2019 when "they were liquidated in July 2017. She will know why she has done it".

He also added that "the liquidations of 2015 and 2016 are more than four and a half million, so the number announced is not more than expected."

The mayor of Cartagena has advanced that "from now on, what will occupy us will be to check the numbers and that the destination is legal, and not to works awarded to the company in a paralegal manner".

Finally, José López has called attention to the fact that "this does not disguise that we continue paying too much, that the mayor is condemned for the violation of the fundamental rights of MC in the tariff revision and that they will have to render accounts in several procedures, including the Pokémon case ".
