Young people will receive job counseling in the III edition of Itinere (29/01/2019)

The City Council of Cartagena organizes a new edition of Itinere, in the Auditorium and Conference Center El Batel on Tuesday, February 26, and it will be held throughout the day, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 16 p.m. : 00 to 20:00 hours.

Itinere is conceived as a day of dynamism aimed at preventing inactivity and youth unemployment by bringing young people closer to the business and work reality of the region, through innovative, inclusive and attractive programming, which provides them with information on the different resources and motivate them towards an active job search.

"The objective of this day is for young people to develop skills, know the skills and want to access resources and courses and make a work and business dream come true, we aim to make that dream a dream," he said. the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, during the presentation of the new Itinere edition, which took place this morning, January 29.

The recipients of the day are young people under 30, preferably enrolled in the Youth Guarantee System, as well as graduates, students, unemployed and also, professionals who work with young people such as teachers, educators and counselors.

"Young people are not only the future of our municipality and our region, they are our present, our goal is our obsession, and this must continue to be done with responsibility and to respond to many young people who are waiting for a signal all of us",

The mayor of Cartagena has pointed out that "the youngest need to feel, touch, feel and truly verify that the administrations are there concerned and occupied in giving them an answer, but above all we have to start from scratch by giving and offering adequate training so that they can access to a decent job and in better conditions ".

"This new edition is going to be better than last year," said Ana Belén Castejón when referring to an edition that features "a surprise staging that will make the audience wonder what is happening there?".

In this 3rd edition of Itinere is also committed to Vocational Training for Employment as a qualification option, and publicize the opportunities that a job title offers young people to get access to a good job.

In Itinere we will find, among other activities: Workshops to work skills and competences in job interviews, group dynamics, CV preparation, presentation techniques, communication skills, creative, employment resources abroad, entrepreneurship, APP's for the search of job.

With the programmed training actions the participants will be able to improve their qualification.

The Councilor for Youth, David Martinez, has indicated that young people can attend "quality" presentations given by two chefs, a difgital transformation strategy advisor, a blogger and a motivational speaker

Among the different speakers that will accompany us during the day, we will have Isabel Iglesias, blogger, lecturer, trainer and writer will teach us the changes that have occurred in the job market and will make us the perfect candidate for the companies.

Diego Laso and Marian Porras, from the Momiji and Deskaro restaurants, respectively, will show their careers as chefs and what are the attitudes to obtain great results, accompanied by the music of DJ Julio.

Learn about the new jobs generated from technological innovations by Francisco Maturana, BBVA's digital transformation strategy advisor, who will show that the future is already present.

Javi Soto, trainer and motivational lecturer will discover new ways of facing the job search.

Creativity and optimistic passion will be your tools.

The Lego pieces and the Lego Serious Play methodology help to build Curriculum "B".

Juan Gadeo, certified facilitator of this methodology will help show the soft skills of the participants and use them for job search.

Aware of the importance of mobile first (mobile first), among young people, who have turned their smartphones into their main and almost only communication device.

Itinere goes one step further in this third edition by creating an APP for the Day that provides the registered participants with the necessary information for their participation, offering them all the details, notifications and planning of their visit.

The download of the application, completely free, will enable the evaluation of the Day, participating in the draw of activities of the Alternative Free Time Program, T-LA of the Youth Council, which this year celebrates its 20th Anniversary.

NATIONAL SYSTEM OF YOUTH GUARANTEE

At the end of 2018, a total of 8,175 people were enrolled in the National Youth Guarantee System, in the municipality of Cartagena, with 4,778 young people as beneficiaries.

Of them, 583 young people are called from the Youth Council, and 258 people start the Youth Guarantee itinerary.

Their itinerary ends in 2018 with a total of 129 young people, of whom 47 find work, 58 are integrated into the education system and the rest get a qualification, or seek work after their participation or improve their performance (they are referred to an entity that can respond to your needs).

The number of young people who have received training in 2018 within the framework of Youth Guarantee amounts to 215 participants in Mixed Employment and Training Programs, SEF courses and training of the Youth Employment Operative Program.
