The Subjective Room is a project that depends on the Youth Council, whose purpose is to stimulate the creative impulse and support the young artists of Cartagena, offering them a space in which to publicize their works.

For it thirteen artists have passed individually since the room was opened in May 2016, the exhibition includes a work of each of them, trying to reflect a moment of each of the exhibitions that have passed through this room.

In chronological order, the following young creators participated:

Pedro Zamora "White Mute".

The artist wanted to capture the white in his work as the predominant color.

Pedro defines his work as "non-figurative", using different materials in the search for textures and nuances.

Javier Navarro "Thresholds".

The artist with drawing as a means of expression tries to transmit the transcendence of the body through space and time.

Pedro Giménez "Rincones, Brushstrokes of a History." His exhibition showed us another vision of eclectic and modernist architecture, paying attention to the details that predominate in the most important buildings in the city.

María Buigues "The seven gods of the west".

In her work, the artist shows her interest in portraiture, the human figure and the transmission of feelings. She showed us her collection of portraits inspired by the protagonists of the series "Game of thrones", made using different pictorial techniques.

Pablo Torres "Popsurr." Attracted by painting since he was a child, and tireless creative, the artist from Cartagena fuses surrealism with pop art, in which his work was full of perfectly harmonious colors.

Clara Ledo "The essential: the gold inside you".

According to the words of the artist, in her work she showed us "An essential place, hidden in the most recondite of our being", where she expresses in a delicate way her inner world in an allegorical and metaphorical way.

Sonsoles Ponti "Mariposarium".

In his exhibition the protagonists were the butterflies, made with the Patchwork technique, his works are cheerful and modern, although he also uses the most traditional Patchwork, making use of fabrics and threads of different tonalities, playing with different textures and materials.

María Garres "Dreams of coal".

His series of drawings to the natural one showed us personal and intimate moments, in which the protagonists are their loved ones and closest, and each and every one of the works, arise spontaneously in difficult moments to force.

Paula Díaz "Furs".

Daniel Soledispa "Disforme." The artist seeks a different way of representing the city, deconstructing emblematic buildings in Cartagena, distorting them, without deforming them in their entirety, so that they do not lose their identity.

Lourdes Angosto "Becoming: a journey to family memory in La Manga del Mar Menor." The exhibition arises from personal and family experiences in the Mar Menor, and its evocation from a present characterized by its environmental deterioration, a situation that generates contrasted feelings in the people who have inhabited and traveled for decades.

Councilman David Martínez Noguera thanked all of them for their participation in this project, which began two years ago and encouraged them to transmit their experience to other young artists that the City Council will welcome as they do, to give them an opportunity to show their work .
