500 athletes will tour this Sunday December 2 the sites of El Algar for the benefit of the Spanish Association Against Cancer, a race and solidary urban march that brings together athletes under the motto 'Move Life'.
The event is organized by the Algar Trail Running in collaboration with the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena.
The mayor of Social Services, Mercedes García;
the treasurer of the Algar Trail Running, Antonio Javier Núñez and the secretary of the club, José Antonio Martínez, appeared on Wednesday to detail the details of the solidarity event.
The race will tour the most emblematic places of the deputation through the 5.3 kilometers of layout that the test draws by the geography of El Algar.
The starting signal will be heard at José María Serrano square, at 11:00 am, whose finish line will be located on the same site.
Although this is the first edition of 'Move the Life', which will debut as a solidarity sporting event next Sunday, "the reception has been very positive by the participating public, which weeks ago sold out the 500 entries that make up the total capacity of the competition ", said the secretary of the Algar Trail Running, José Antonio Martínez.
And, the race is designed to accommodate a large number of athletes from different disciplines, because two types of competition have been planned: race - 200 entered runners - and march on foot - 300 participants - which will complete the 5.3 kilometers
For his part, the treasurer of the Algar Trail Running, Antonio Javier Núñez, explained that the trophies that will be awarded to the winners of each discipline have been made by the workers of the AIDEMAR Special Employment Center.
