MC will ask in plenary if FCC is fulfilling the obligations of its contracts (28/11/2018)

MC Cartagena will ask the municipal government on Thursday, during the course of the regular plenary session in November, if FCC is fulfilling the contract by which it must provide service for the cleaning of public buildings and schools.

It should be remembered that this merchant included a bag of overtime hours as an improvement of the offer made to provide both services, which the municipal government is not forcing him to execute.

On the cleaning of public buildings, the mayor of MC, María José Soler, ask the Executive of Castejón on whether the City has made use of some of the 5,000 hours included in the bag of overtime for this service.

Given the lack of demand of the socialist government, Soler said that "Juan Pedro Torralba, as foreman of Castejón, is allowing a savings of two million euros to the concessionaire for this concept."

In addition, he added, "We regret that socialists do not give importance to the number of jobs that would be created with the amount of overtime available to improve the service currently provided."

"Once again it is demonstrated that the creation of employment and that control and enforcement of the service by large companies is not the priority of this PSOE Government, more concerned always to take care of the economic interest of the concessionaires than the rights of neighbors, "he assured.

Regarding cleaning in schools, whose offer for improvement of the service consists of 1,349 extraordinary monthly hours, in addition to the 16,052 hours that are reflected in the specifications of the school cleaning service, the councilor of MC will ask about the number of workers who have been hired to comply with these overtime hours in case this contract improvement has been executed.

María José Soler will ask to know how many of the overtime hours the City Council has used in this school cleaning service contract, also indicating if the local government knows how many jobs can be created with that amount of hours of the exchange and the cost from that bag of hours that FCC is saving.
