The Promotional Concert Cycle of the "Between Strings and Metals" contest begins The Cartagena Chamber Orchestra will accompany the four winners of the last edition of the contest during the concert that opens the Cycle this Monday, in the (23/11/2018)

On Monday, November 26, the cycle of Promotional Concerts of the XXII edition of the contest 'Between Strings and Metals' is inaugurated in the Auditorium of the Music Conservatory of Murcia at 18:40.

These concerts give the winners of the last edition of the contest to participate as soloists, together with the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena, in three concerts that will take place in different parts of the Region of Murcia.

The concert will begin by the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena, directed by Andrés Pérez Bernabé, who will play the play Serenade for Strings in Mi m op.20 by Edward Elgar.

Next, and accompanied by the same orchestra, this cycle of promotional concerts will open the guitarist Juan Francisco Martínez Cárdenas- I Prize Guitar modality-, which will play the Concert in Do M, Vivaldi RV 82.

The next soloist to perform will be Ángela Abraham Valero - I Wooden Wind Mode Award - who with his flute, will perform the Concierto en Mi m by Saverio Mercadante.

We will continue the concert with the soloist Miguel Llorente Gil - I Prize Percussion - with his marimba will perform Concert for Marimba and String Orchestra by Mateo Soto.

Jose Manuel Parrón García - I Wind Metal Award - will also be on the stage, who with the trombone will perform Concerto for Algo Trombone by GC Wagenseil.

This cycle of concerts in Murcia will conclude with the pianist Celia Sánchez González - I Piano Award-, the youngest interpreter, who will perform Concerto for Piano and Orchestra Nº3 in Re MK 40 by WA Mozart

The Promotional Concert will continue in the towns of Cieza and Cartagena on November 27 and 28, respectively.

On November 27, the concert will take place at the "Maestro Gómez Villa" Conservatory Auditorium in Cieza at 7:30 p.m. and on the 28th it will take place at the Auditorium of the Conservatory of Music of Cartagena at 7:15 p.m., where The Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena will perform.

MUSICAL CAREER OF THE INTERPRETERS

Ángela Abraham Valero began his musical studies at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Cartagena in 2009. Later, he began to study lyrical singing as a second specialty with Víctor del Castillo.

Currently he is 6th year of flute professional with María José Castaño, combining with 3rd year of singing professional and 2nd year of Bachillerato in IES Ben Arabí.

He has taken courses, by various points of the Spanish geography with renowned teachers and has participated in concerts under the baton of Andrés Pérez Bernabé, Ginés Martínez Vera, Jaime Enguídanos and Jaime Belda.

He has also collaborated with musical groups in contests and concerts.

She is member of the Musical Group Our Mrs. Of the Solitude of Molinos Marfagones, directed by Julián Morote.

Juan Francisco Martínez, currently simultaneously with the 4th EPM with his university studies.

He starts playing the guitar at 10 years old, with Professor Alejandro Grávalos.

In 2013 he entered the 2nd year of the Elementary Degree, with Ignacio Portillo as a teacher, of whom he has been a student for five years.

He has also received master classes from concert artists Paola Requena and Fernando Espí;

and in 2017 he did a flamenco guitar course taught by Francisco Capiscol.

He has participated in the VII Music Cycle in the Museums;

as well as in the concerts of Young Promises of Plectrum, Guitar and Harp of the XIV and the XV cycles of "Music in Spring" of Puente Tocinos, both as a soloist and member of the Plectrum Ensemble of the Professional Conservatory of Murcia.

Miguel Llorente obtains the Elementary Degree in Percussion at the School of Music Don Francisco Sánchez Mateo in Bullas.

He is currently in the 5th year of the EPM at the Caravaca Conservatory.

He has taken several courses among them: Percussion Course with Professor Carolina Alcaraz, PERCUFEST 2017 Course, I African Percussion Course in September 2017 with Professor Harouna Dembelé, Masterclass of Marimba in April 2018 with Professor Emmanuel Sejournée, Masterclass of Timbales in April 2018 with Professor Nick Woud, Masterclass of Marimba in July 2018 with Conrado Moya and Katarzyna Mycka.

PERCUFEST course in July 2018. He won the third prize in the twentieth edition of the Entre Cuerdas y Metals contest, finalist in the VI edition of the Young Performers Villa de Molina contest, in the category of percussion, Honorable Mention (Prize for motivation ) in the International Competition of Percufest 2018.

José Manuel Parrón, at age 8, began his studies in the specialty of trombone at the Professional Music Conservatory of Cartagena.

At the age of eleven, he began his stage at the Sauces Musical Group, where he attended classes with Pascual Banacloig Domingo and Jorge Corral Navarro.

Later, in 2018 he will win, under the baton of Andrés Pérez Bernabé, the first prize in the contest "VII Regional Festival of Bands" Ciudad de Cieza "".

In 2018, he finished the professional music lessons in the specialty of trombó obtaining honors.

He has completed advanced courses with Carlos Gil, Juan Carlos Matamoros (Trombone soloist of the National Orchestra of Spain), Ximo Vicedo (Trombone soloist of the Symphonic Orchestra of RTVE), Mario Calvo Ponce (Professor of trombone at the CSMM and Trombone solo of the OSRM), Indalecio Bonet (Trombone in Spanish Brass Luur Metal), Dani Perpiñan (Professor of trombone at the top conservatories "ESMUC" and "CSMA"), Alain Trudel (International Artist), Jacques Mauger (Trombone soloist of the Orchestra of the National Opera Theater in Paris), Víctor Belmonte (trombonist in "International Trombone Ensemble" and "The Netherlands Radio Philarmonic Orchestra"), Bart Classens (Trombone Soloist in "The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra") and Jörgen Van Rijen (Trombone soloist in "The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra") among others.

In addition, he is a founding member of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Cartagena as well as a member of the Youth Orchestra of the Region of Murcia.

In the last three years he has reached the final of the Entre Cuerdas y Metals contest, obtaining Second Prize in the modality of wind metal (2015 and 2016), Third Prize in the modality of wind metal (2017) and First Prize in the modality of wind metal (2018).

Celia Sánchez González started the piano at the age of 4 years in the Municipal Association "Amigos de la Música" with the professors Dª Loreto Conesa and D. Sergio Pérez.

In 2014 he entered the 2nd year of the Elementary Degree and in 2017 he acceded to the Professional Degree of the Music Conservatory of Murcia, where he currently attends the 2nd.

Since March 2014 she has been receiving improvement classes at the Workshop of the pianist Ms. Tamara Harutyunyán. Absolute winner in the Children's category of the National Contest "Eduardo del Pueyo" (Bigastro, Alicante, 2016).

Winner of "Scholarships Iberpiano 2016".

In April 2018 he won the XXI edition of the Regional Contest "Between ropes and metals" of Cartagena being in the 1st Professional Degree, an exceptional event for all modalities in the history of that competition organized within the framework of professional education.

In September 2018, in Marbella he obtained the Second International Prize "Arthur Rubinstein".
