The pavilion of the delegation of Alumbres hosted on Sunday, November 11, the traditional XVI Meeting of Bolillos de Alumbres.

The event, which managed to gather more than 250 lace makers from all over the municipality, was attended by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón;

the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez;

and the councilman of Celebrations, Juan Pedro Torralba.

The day began at 10:00 am with the reception of participants and the realization of lace.

Then, around 10:30 am, breakfast took place.

Castejón recalled that "it is very important that they continue to keep alive such enriching traditions and that they contain as much skill and art as the bobbin".
