Cs implements the "Talent Return to Cartagena" and "Cartagena Emprende" programs with an investment of 100,000 euros (21/10/2018)

The program 'Return of Talent to Cartagena' has been awarded this week to the company Local Initiatives after the period of allegations with a base bidding budget of 60,000 euros and a term of execution of the two-year contract.

Ciudadanos recalled that the Local Government Board approved on February 2, 2018 the proposal that the orange training moved through an amendment to the accounts of 2017 (30,000 euros per year) to launch this program.

The municipal technicians who have been responsible for designing the project have informed Cs that they are organizing a meeting with the heads of the winning company, interested companies, and other municipalities where it is being carried out successfully and such a project, such as Valladolid o San Sebastián, "once the contract was awarded, we are waiting for this meeting", said Manuel Padín, spokesperson for Cs Cartagena, who has advanced that his group will contact the winning company to supervise the first steps to develop the project and know all the details.

As Cs has learned, the City is collaborating with the development of the program by drawing up a map of public resources available in the Department of Youth in which both professionals who can participate in the program and the precise services.

A communication plan is also being designed to attract migrants and make the project known to both the business community and society in general.

It is the first talent return project in the municipality of Cartagena and one of the first at the regional level;

Its objective is to generate contact between the emigrated professionals who want to return and the local companies that demand talent and international experience.

With this program it is expected to get in a first phase the contact between the City Council and a community of 60 young emigrants from Cartagena who want to return.

They will be offered advice via Skype through a team of mediators.

Once the community is created, contact will be made with companies in Cartagena as well as the publication of job offers suitable for the training of migrant professionals.

According to Manuel Padín, "in Cs we believe that the return of talent is positive for the economy because it will generate hiring opportunities, improve work teams in companies and promote internationalization and entrepreneurial vocation, in addition, there is a social and emotional that for us is important and that has to do with the family reunification and the recovery of the bond of these people with Cartagena ".

Cartagena Emprende

It is not the only 'orange' program that has been launched in recent days.

The Governing Council of the Agency for Local Development and Employment this week approved the program "Cartagena Emprende" in which 40,000 euros will be invested in two years thanks to an amendment that presented Cs to the municipal budgets of 2018, "the first phase will be devoted to the training of mentors, "Manuel Padín has reported.

The program has been designed and will be executed by the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Cartagena and is divided into five phases: the training and list of mentors, the creation of the specialized advisory service, the tutoring and registration of young entrepreneurs, and the organization of a prize in the month of December to distinguish and reward the success of any of the projects underway.

It is a circuit that includes the creation of mentors specialized in innovation and tutors to advise on projects and to monitor young entrepreneurs, learn about their evolution and obtain conclusions to improve the services they receive.

Since the AJE have detected that many entrepreneurs are discouraged or lost in the different phases necessary to translate into an activity your business project idea. With the service of 'mentoring' the interested parties will be able to know, for example, what corporate form is most advisable for their purposes, what expenses derived and what bureaucratic and fiscal challenges they must overcome, discover the latest advances in digital marketing, or they will be able to deepen in topics more specific, such as Internet law or industry 4.0, "matters in which many agents of the entrepreneurial ecosystem are not specialists", explains José Manuel Antón.
