The Councilor for Youth, David Martinez, received Tuesday at the Young Space Youth Resource Center, the two young people, from Germany and Estonia, who will develop during this year 2018/2019, the Enjoy European Youth Programs in Project Cartagena, funded by the Erasmus + Program - Youth in Action.
This is Kristjan, 25, from Germany, and Milena, 18, who comes from Estonia.
Kirstjan, qualified in tourism, has international experience in participating in other projects of the Eramus + Programs, while Milena has just finished her Bachelor studies and has opted to live a formative experience in Spain before deciding her university studies.
They both arrived in the city a week ago and will stay until July 2019, when their International Volunteering project will end.
Kristjan will carry out support tasks for the Bolsa Idiomas Program (linguistic exchanges, socio-cultural activities, etc.), with the ESN University Association (Erasmus Student Network) and the IMPLICA2 Program (young people engaged in Cartagena).
For her part, Milena will volunteer as a volunteer in the IH Correspondents' Informajoven Program, Mandarache Program and in the Social Room of José Mª de la Puerta, developing activities in the Botika del Libro.
The International Volunteer Projects are part of the Erasmus + -Juventud en Acción Program, funded by the European Commission.
The Youth Space of the Department of Youth of Cartagena as a coordinating entity, sending and receiving, is responsible for informing, helping and processing everything necessary for any young person, not only from Cartagena but throughout the Region of Murcia, to participate in that program.
It is aimed at young people between the ages of 18 and 30, who reside in a member country of the European Union.
Young people with fewer opportunities, including young people with disabilities, can also actively participate in this program.
