Cartagena receives this weekend the participants of the European Confederation of Festivals and Historical Recreations (27/09/2018)

Cartagena receives this weekend the Annual Assembly of the European Confederation of Historical Festivals and Recreations.

A cultural platform whose purpose is to publicize European historical festivals.

The confederation is formed by ten countries of the European Union among which is Spain, member that currently holds the presidency of the same.

Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Hungary, Holland, Belgium and the newly incorporated Romania are the nations that complete this confederation.

There will be approximately 30 participants from all over Europe - two or three per delegation - who travel to Cartagena to attend the Annual Assembly, but also to witness the most important events of the Carthaginian and Roman Festivities of the weekend of the 27th to the 29th. September, as the Battle and the General Parade.

On Saturday, September 29, will take place the Annual Assembly to be held at the Roman Theater, which will deal, among other issues, European grants, mobility between members of the confederation and the projects of each delegation.

In the afternoon, all participants will go to see the General Parade of the Festivals of Carthaginians and Romans.

The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, plans to receive the participants of this Congress at the Town Hall, around 12.00 noon.

Likewise, on September 19, the Spanish Association of Historical Festivals and Recreations inaugurated a photographic exhibition in the multipurpose room of the Casino de Cartagena, which can be visited until Sunday, September 30.
