The Campus of the San Antonio Catholic University in Los Dolores hosted the presentation of the clothing that will be worn by the players of the 24 teams that the club has, based in the Polígono Cabezo Beaza and that also competes in three categories with its American football section. EFESÉ.

The general director of Sports of the UCAM, Pablo Rosique, and the president of Cartagena FC UCAM, José Gómez Meseguer, have presented the new kit to celebrate the hundred years of history of this club that has played 15 seasons in the Second Division, 9 in 2ªB and 36 in Third.

Specifically, the 500 players of the 24 football teams will wear a retro shirt that simulates the long sleeves with buttons that was used in 1919, based on the oldest one that the club has worn and of which there is graphic evidence.

In the presence of young Cartagena players, Pablo Rosique stressed that "after four years of support, from the Universidad Católica San Antonio we will continue to be committed to this project, not only with the sponsorship of the teams, but also with the celebration of different events together.

For his part Gómez Meseguer stressed that "we have arrived 100 years despite the difficulties and with the support of sponsors such as the UCAM we will move forward".

EFESÉ Museum at the hand of the UCAM

So that the effort of these one hundred years of history of this team, which ended up finishing 5th in the Second Division, can be remembered, the club is already working together with the UCAM to put a Museum of the History of EFESÉ into action, besides a Popular Race of the Cartagena FC, a round table of Medicine and Sport and another of Law and Medicine in which the UCAM will collaborate.

Pablo Rosique stressed that "for UCAM it is an honor to be part of this project in which thousands of young people from the region of Cartagena participate and who is the heir of the first club in the city, the Sport Club Cartagena. reflected our values ​​of training and education of young athletes, there is also collaboration with our Faculty of Sports, which teaches the Degree of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences in our Campus of Cartagena ".
