Resounding response from those affected at the cemetery of La Palma (22/09/2018)

A reduced call on Friday afternoon, convened by the people who took part in La Sexta Columna, in the Civic Center of La Palma, becomes an extraordinary assembly of more than 200 affected by the inmatriculation of the Santa Florentina Cemetery of that town, which they agree to become an Association of Affected Persons and to work for their rights, which consist in the annulment of said process carried out by the Bishopric of Cartagena.

The following points were highlighted from the meeting:

1º) The rejection with the inmatriculación that culminated in 2015, as it has recognized in the press the own bishop don José Manuel Lorca Planes and thus it is recorded in the Property Registry number 4 of Cartagena, to date of January 14, 2015.

2) Discomfort with the strategy used to obtain title to the property in perpetuity of those affected.

This institution did not provide accurate information to the owners.

The owners were quickly pressured into believing that they were making a change of ownership, never an assignment for their property to pass to the Bishopric in exchange for a mere right of burial subject to the conditions imposed by the Bishopric.

3rd) Disagreement with the bishop's statements, since we understand that he considers underage owners to be protected, making decisions for it, and the most offensive, treating them as speculators.

"For all this, a process begins that we hope will culminate satisfactorily and in a short time, so that users and neighbors recover their properties and rights", commented the representatives of those affected ".
