The Community has authorized the continuity of the works that are being carried out in the building annexed to the Basilica of Charity of Cartagena after studying the documentation of those responsible for them.
All planned works will be carried out under archaeological control.
The progress of the structure of this building will facilitate the future intervention in the dome of the Basilica, whose project is already authorized by the General Directorate of Cultural Assets.
Once the reconstruction is completed, it is expected that one of the rooms of this annex building will show the rich heritage of the Holy and Royal Hospital of Charity, such as paintings, chasubles and documents of great value.
It is planned that it can be visited by the neighbors and the thousands of tourists that arrive each year in Cartagena.
