The women of Los Dolores celebrated their traditional coexistence dinner during the festivities (06/09/2018)

The Cartagena neighborhood of Los Dolores is immersed in the celebration of its popular festivals, which began on day 1 and will last until next Sunday September 9.

In the framework of the festivities, the traditional women's meal was held, organized by the Cartagonova association, which was attended by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón.

On Friday, September 7, at 22:00 hours, copla and flamenco will arrive at the Dolores fiestas in the voices of Isabelita Rico and Alejandro Conde.

Both will act in the Festival Venue.

Another of the programmed leisure activities will be the traditional horse tapes race at 6:00 pm on Saturday, September 8.

Lovers of these animals can see them parading through the streets of the neighborhood, that same day from 11:00 hours.

On the other hand, rock lovers can also enjoy a rock concert with 'Mississippi Band' at Los Dolores parties on Saturday, September 8, also at 10 pm.

On Sunday, September 9, it will be the turn of the Pilgrimage of the Virgen de los Dolores that will depart at 10:00 am to make its first stop at the Church of Mary Help of Christians (Salesians).

There will also be a parade of carriages in the afternoon and at night, starting at 22:00, there will be the end of the party dance with the Minerva Musical Duo and a fireworks display will put the final touch of the festivities .

To close these holidays on Sunday, September 16, the Day of the Patron Saint will be celebrated with a floral offering and Eucharist at 11:00 am, and at 8:00 pm the procession in her honor will close the festivities.
