The Councilor for Education, David Martínez Noguera, expressed this morning his discomfort for the mistakes made by a publisher of primary textbooks in which Cartagena is confused with Murcia.
"In the years that I have been a teacher I have never encountered situations like this, but it is clear that the Ministry should have reviewed the content of these textbooks before they reached the centers and the schoolchildren themselves.
They should immediately send a letter to publishers to correct these errors and ensure, as is their responsibility, for children to learn the story as it was, "said the mayor.
Martinez Noguera recalled that both the Department of Education and the Port of Cultures have launched several educational programs to help children to know our history in depth.
