Cartagena Port of Cultures bets in September for children's activities (03/09/2018)

In this month of September the weekends are prepared to welcome the youngest at the Roman Theater Museum and the Punic Wall with two activities where, through play, children will learn history in a fun way.

The mayor and president of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas, Ana Belén Castejón, highlighted the family nature of these activities.

"Our goal is to offer a wide and varied program that allows adults and children to discover our history and the richness of our heritage in a fun and entertaining way, with activities such as those we offer during this month," he said.

On Saturdays, 'Escipión Vs Aníbal, the battle continues', there will be a special visit to the Roman Theater Museum, where the whole family will know the history of the Carthaginians and Romans.

At the end of the tour the children will celebrate the triumph, arranged with atmosphere clothing.

Days: September Saturdays.

Time: 11:00 hours

Price: 4 euros and Club Cartagena Port of Cultures, 2 euros.

On Sundays, the 'Crazy Academy of Gladiators' returns, a theatrical visit where the little ones will have fun and learn, the fighting techniques, the food, the medicine of the gladiators.

The owner of the ludus of Carthago Nova awaits you on Sundays at 12:00 a.m., in the Punic Wall, to live a crazy adventure in the school of gladiators.

Place: Punic Wall.

Days: September Sundays.

Time: 12: 00h.

Price: 8 euros and Club Cartagena Port of Cultures 4 euros.

On the other hand, the summer comes to an end, and with it the activities and special nocturnal visits.

Thus, they conclude the night visits of the Roman Theater, the boat trips with live music and Roman dinner with gladiator spectacle, in the Punic Wall.

Thursday will be the last boat ride of 'Soul in the Sea', where the trio Jazzy Racoon, formed by: bass, guitar and sax, say goodbye until next year to enjoy the sunsets by the bay.

During eight Thursdays the Tourist Boat has set sail, where the assistants have been able to enjoy the best live soul in a privileged environment bordering the bay of Cartagena.

On Friday, a special event will be offered at the Punic Wall, a Roman-inspired dinner, with dramatization and gladiatorial shows.

In this event you can experience the story very closely, from the hand of a legionary hero of the legions of Scipio, who will return to Carthago Nova to avenge the death of his brother.

Funerary rites, beautiful dances between goddesses and fauns, myths related through pantomime and gladiatorial combats will celebrate the first games held in the Iberian Peninsula.

The event will feature the tasting of a menu consisting of seven dishes, as marked by the Roman tradition, which will transport the best Mediterranean flavors.

The creator of the menu is Juan Páez, chef of the Habaneros.

Day: Friday, September 7.

Time: 22:00 hours.

Price: 40 euros.

Saturday, September 8, is the last night tour in the 'Theater under the Light of the Moon'.

Time: 9:00 p.m.

Price: 10 euros and Club Cartagena Port of Cultures 5 euros.

On Saturday, September 15 is the last pass of the night dramatized visits at the Museum of the Roman Theater, Aulaeum, below the curtain, at 9:00 p.m., which price is 12 euros, Cartagena Port of Cultures 6 euros.
