Health has opened 384 cases this year for unhealthy homes and homes (30/08/2018)

The councilor of the Area of ​​Quality of Life and Welfare, Obdulia Gmez, informed this morning that since January, 384 cases have been opened due to the existence of plots and homes in unhealthy conditions and that there are currently 41 sanction proceedings pending in the municipality .

The mayor explained that the penalties range between 600 and 420 euros.

Since the council warn the owners of their obligation to clean them and give them a deadline to carry it out.

In the event that they do not comply, the subsidiary execution is requested (the City Council undertakes the work and passes the bill to the owner), which must be authorized by the court.

"This year we have carried out two subsidiary executions with judicial authorization of two houses that were in poor condition.

In one of them, the cost was 665.30 euros and in the other was 4,324.41 euros.

The difference is due to the fact that the first dwelling could be cleaned in one day and in the second it took several days and three containers.

In addition, five files are being processed for subsidiary execution, "said Obdulia Gmez.
