Young people from Cartagena will be able to live an international experience thanks to the Erasmus + Youth in Action Program (29/08/2018)

and Isabel Martínez, who will leave on Monday September 3 to France |

The Councilor for Youth, David Martínez Noguera received this morning at the Palace Hall two young people from Cartagena, Isabel Martínez and Joaquín Conesa, who have benefited from the Erasmus + Youth in Action Program, and with those who have been talking and exchanging impressions about this international experience.

The councilor stressed the enrichment experienced by the participants in the program to live this kind of experience, while encouraging other young Cartagena to go through the Youth Council of the City, where they will be informed about the projects where they can register according to the fields of action and population sectors with which they wish to work.

EXPERIENCE AT THE KEEN IN DIVERSITY CHILDREN'S CENTER IN LITHUANIA

Joaquín returned last week from Latvia after spending a year in the Latvian town of Preili, developing an International Volunteer project in a children's center called "Keen in Diversitiy" organizing and carrying out educational activities and free time with children.

Joaquin said he was looking for a job in Cartagena when he saw a sign about this project in the Casa de la Juventud, so he approached a day where he was informed of the process he had to follow and in a few weeks he had the plane tickets. to Latvia.

Joaquín emphasizes that in this experience that the European Voluntary Service has given him he has learned many things, among them to carry out an order or planning of what he wants to do or has to do on a daily basis and to value and respect other points of view u opinions with which you do not agree.

The participant recommended the program and pointed out that he felt at home there, since the teachers of the school treated him like someone else in the family.

Now back to Cartagena is thinking about resuming his university studies in Teaching.

EXPERIENCE AT THE FANZINOTHÉQUE IN POITIER, FRANCE

Next Monday, September 3, it will be the turn of Isabel, who will fly to Poitier, a university city in the western part of France, where she will spend a year carrying out an International Volunteering Project in the Fanzinothéque, a cultural center where she will perform tasks of graphic design in order to give visibility to the cultural offer that is programmed in this center.

Isabel has a degree in Fine Arts and has studies in graphic design and typography, specialties to which she will devote part of her project, apart from learning the French language and developing other social and personal competences so present in this type of International Volunteering projects .

Space Mobility of Youth Space of the Youth Council is accredited to send and receive young European volunteers, and inform and advise on training experiences in other countries in the field of non-formal education.

The European Solidarity Corps offers the opportunity to carry out International Volunteering Projects.
