Cartagena Port of Cultures intensifies its programming with special openings for the week of the August holiday.
Boat trips at night will be made with live music by the bay, guided and dramatized night visits are also programmed to discover the Roman Forum Neighborhood, next to the Temple of Isis and the Roman Theater Museum are the bets for the story becomes a different experience.
On August 15 the Barrio del Foro Romano will have a special opening with a theatrical visit that will unveil the mysteries of 'Isis, the goddess of the Nile'.
At sundown, an Egyptian priest will tell how he came to the shores of the ancient Carthago Nova, to introduce wisdom and brought from exotic Egypt.
The dates of these passes are August 10, 15 and 24, at 9:00 p.m.
The price of the tickets is 12 euros, 6 euros for the members of the Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas.
Another way to enjoy the spectacular 3,000 m² site at night is on Friday, August 17, on a guided tour of the 'Forum Neighborhood under the stars'.
An exclusive visit where a guide will drive through the hot springs, causeways and ritual buildings.
It will be possible to know how the temples and the stars created sacred lines that served as signals for the inhabitants of the 1st century AD
This guided tour incorporates the archaeoastronomy studies carried out in Cartagena, published in the Zephyrus scientific journal of the University of Salamanca in 2015. The dates of these nocturnal guided visits are August 17 and 31, at 9:00 p.m. price of 10 euros, and for the Cartagena Club Puerto de Culturas of 5 euros.
In the Roman Theater Museum there are also guided and dramatized night visits.
These visits offer a different vision of the site and the history.
'Aulaeum, below the curtain' is the theatrical visit where Vitruvius, the architect of antiquity, will discover the magnificent Roman constructions.
The passes for the dramatized visit are on August 18, and on September 1 and 15, at 9:00 p.m.
Price 12 euros and for the members of the Club Cartagena Port of Cultures, of 6 euros.
The 'Theater under the light of the Moon' is the guided tour designed to know and visit the theater in an intimate way with a very small capacity at dusk.
An extensive visit where the Museum and the Roman Theater will be explained in an exceptional atmosphere.
The dates are August 11 and 25 and September 8.
These nocturnal guided tours are at 9:00 pm for a price of 10 euros, Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas 5 euros.
On the other hand, 'Soul on the Sea' is the activity scheduled for every Thursday in August.
A journey where the tour of the bay offers the experience of watching sunset from the sea.
The walk will be enlivened with live music, on this occasion, Jazzy Raccoon, a trio of jazz fusion that will cover great themes of soul bringing touches of freshness in their improvisations.
The ship will sail at 21:00 hours from the Royal Scale of the Port, being the price of 12 euros, and 6 for the members of the Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas.
