Two drivers reported for making a deposit of rubble and an oil spill, respectively (25/07/2018)

Agents of the Local Police of Cartagena denounced, during the past weekend, two drivers for each infraction.

The first individual was throwing garbage and depositing furniture and equipment on public roads.

On the other hand, the second offender was denounced by the agents for pouring oil into the public road, upon noting that, in addition, he did not have authorization to carry these substances.

The events took place last Saturday, July 21, at 21:00 hours, at the Paraje Las Fanegas (Rambla de Benipila), where the agents, thanks to the collaboration of citizens, surprised the driver of a vehicle, 40 years old of age, who was making a deposit of rubble and garbage in the ravine.

The agents proceeded to report the facts to the municipal health department and the Segura Hydrographic Confederation.

TRANSPORT OF OILS AND FATS

On the other hand, the agents of the Local Police of Cartagena intervened, during the afternoon of Friday, to the driver of a van that gave off oil to the public thoroughfare, thus endangering road safety.

The agents traveled to Calle Real, where the events took place.

Once there, they asked the driver of the vehicle to provide them with the documentation that accredits him for the transfer of oils and fats, but the individual lacked any type of authorization.

Therefore, the agents proceeded to denounce the events as an infraction of the Urban Cleaning Ordinance and the Waste Management Law.

In addition, there is the circumstance that the company denounced, which makes transport of used oils according to its advertising propaganda, boasts several awards and certificates of sustainable development.
