Citizens expressed their displeasure at the Government's indifference to answer the question put by the local spokesman, Manuel Padín, on why the table that should work on the modification of the Organic Regulation of the Plenary had not yet been convened, "an expired text , that does not respond to the current political reality, and that is causing the collapse of the current plenary sessions, and the chaos in the research commissions that are underway, each of them operating with rules arising from the whims of each president, because they are not even regulated. "

The socialist spokesperson, Obdulia Gómez, reported that she "expects" that by mid-July this working table could be set up, but the orange formation reminds her that the motion was approved more than a year ago and that, despite that Mrs. Gómez then assured that the commission to reform the ROP would be convened in September 2017, the Municipal Groups are still awaiting its constitution, nine months later.

"We run out of patience," warns Manuel Padín, who points out that "we are already in the middle of July and we have not received any notification of the call yet."

"It is urgent that the PSOE abandon its paralysis, execute the agreement of the plenary and immediately convene the Commission to adapt the regulation to the current political reality before the end of the legislature or the next municipal corporation will drag many problems", says Manuel Padín.

Among the modifications to which the current ROP must be submitted, Ciudadanos supports the need to regulate the duration of the marathon plenary sessions - which have exceeded 12 hours - to make them more operational and digestible and the regulation of the municipal commissions of research, to ensure that all work under the same criteria, in a more efficient and productive way.

As for the Debate on the State of the Municipality, Citizens hope that it can be convened soon, and on this issue gives its vote of confidence to the PSOE Government, "we need that debate in which we will propose a great political pact that establishes the basis for a new and more operational municipal policy ".
