The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, officially opened the celebrations of the town of Galifa Cartagena last Saturday July 7 at 00:00 with the reading of the proclamation, which highlighted the "unique environment" in which Galifa is located , in the natural park of the Sierra de la Muela, Cabo Tiñoso and Roldán.

Castejón stressed that the town is consolidated year after year as a tourist destination for hikers who walk the roads enjoying privileged environments such as the Rambla de las Escarihuelas or the maritime façade of Portús.

Likewise, he took advantage of his intervention to remember that the Cartagena City Council is carrying out a great effort to improve the signaling of the roads that cross these lands.

In addition, he emphasized the work of the Galifa Women's Association and the Neighborhood Association, as well as local sports champions such as José Montesinos, Quique Cámara and Esteban Pérez, who were awarded during the evening.

These festivities, which began on June 29 with the VII Meeting of Bolilleras, organized by the Bolifa Association of Galifa, will end on July 16, becoming one of the longest in the municipality.
