MC supports the Manifesto for the City of Justice and demands the commitment of the local and state governments (06/07/2018)

This morning, the signing of the Manifesto by the City of Justice that has been signed by the associations of lawyers and attorneys of Cartagena, the Association of Social Graduates of Cartagena, COEC, Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Neighborhood Associations took place. of Cartagena and Region.

The event was attended and supported by MC Cartagena, represented by the general secretary and spokesman of the municipal group, José López;

the president, Jesús Giménez, and the councilman Francisco Calderón.

The Manifesto assures that the City of Justice is an "essential infrastructure for Cartagena and its District in order for the Justice Administration to function properly and the Judicial Party not to be definitively strangled."

The text highlights the damage that is being caused to citizens in "such an important and sensitive matter", given the dispersion of judicial offices and the lack of services.

The signers also demand that the City Council convene, as soon as possible, the Bureau of Justice, to promote the construction of this infrastructure.

The Manifesto claims that the District has a Juvenile Court, another of the Mercantile, a Court of land clauses, as well as in the matter of services to the citizen, a Mercantile Registry, an office of Labor Inspection and a delegation of the Commission of Free Legal Assistance.

MC's commitment to the City of Justice

It should be remembered that it was MC who promoted the constitution of the Bureau of Justice, a working forum created in the City of Cartagena under the mayor's office of José López, to promote the construction of the City of Justice.

The MC leader, José López, has called attention to the nature of the demands "every day, the society of Cartagena bemoans the discrimination we suffer in this region, since everyone agrees that we are treated as third-class citizens. Today, specifically, our society has demanded that we be treated, at least, as provincial capitals with much less population. "

"It is clear that everyone talks about the restitution of the province but with a small mouth." In MC, however, we do not like euphemisms, we work so that the cry of our society that cries out against marginalization and injustice is heard, and we are convinced that we are on the right path, "he added.

On the Table of Justice and the progress of these claims, José López has ensured that "there is a City of Justice is in the hands of the PSOE, as it has been since 2011 of the PP, whether it is in the grounds of Reina Victoria or the Hospital Naval, just have to cede Pedro Sanchez, if it is in the CC1, it is the local government who has already lost a year in calling the development contest in the CC1, there where the interests of Alonso still seem latent.

"The same year that has elapsed without the mayor convoking the Bureau of Justice, in which, from MC, we include all the operators who today signed the manifesto and the judiciary, lawyers and officials of the justice administration and State Security Corps and Forces It is in this body where all the shortcomings that we suffer must be known and debated, which are obvious, are minor concerns for the mayor, more concerned about her photo album and her intrigues with concessionaires ", she has argued .

López concluded by stating that "with respect to the manifesto signed today, we believe that it is a good measure, because we trust that it will serve to force the meeting of the Bureau of Justice, in which, as always, we will contribute ideas, work and projects to solve the problems, while the government will surely put the photographers and the smiles. "

Investigation of the Prosecutor's Office on municipal contracts

Before the information appeared in La Verdad about the summons to Isabel Garcia before the Prosecutor, José López said that "for years, we actively collaborate with the Public Ministry in their investigations and, in this case, will not be different, we will give all the explanations they ask us because the City Council did not want to collaborate. "

The spokesman of the municipal group MC has added that "we regret, that yes, that this is the price of wanting to clean institutions, that PP and PSOE strive to equal us in corruption, and the same falsely denounce us that they do not send this information to that they cite us to give explanations ".

López concluded by saying that "it is a paradox that, after implementing for the first time an open and transparent system in municipal contracting, an investigation is initiated, which we hope will be fast and conclusive, and whose result will certify, once again, that we always work from the scrupulous fulfillment of legality ".
