This morning, the councilor of the MC Cartagena municipal group, Francisco Calderón, has informed, after the repeated refusals of the socialist mayor's office to carry it out, the call for the Reforestation Roundtable to be held next Friday, June 29 (9:15 AM). hours, Hall of Councilors, Palace Hall).
The mayor, since the presidency of this working group, has made the communication to the Mayor's Office;
the Municipal Groups;
the MAPS project;
the Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Cartagena and Region, as well as various entities that have environmental protection among their purposes.
All of them have been invited to participate.
Calderón's decision follows the request made to the Mayor's Office on June 14, requesting the municipal reports on the status of the plantations carried out in La Vaguada, Canal de Tentegorra, Virgen de la Caridad, Los Camachos, Castillo de los Moros and The Aljorra.
The Cartagena councilor requested the necessary information on the actions carried out and, thus, make the call.
Two weeks later, and after receiving no response, Francisco Calderón has promoted the meeting of the Reforestation Board, which has been voluntarily paralyzed by the Mayor's Office since November.
The mayor has reiterated the concern of their training by the state of the plantations promoted by the Bureau during 2017, an inaction that is affecting the plant cover of the municipality.
Likewise, Calderón has advanced an agenda in which he has included, besides knowing the maintenance status of the reforested areas in 2017;
the report on the felling of tetraclinis articulata by the Autonomous Community on the La Palma highway;
the status of the LIFE project for the Ciudad de La Unión round;
the status of the tender procedure of the municipal garden contract, and the development of the initiatives of the V18 program.
The president of the Bureau of Reforestation has wished "the participation and involvement of all the members of the Bureau to remedy the institutional blockade submitted by the Mayor's Office." All are summoned to work on a project to develop the municipality in the short and medium term, to return our most original heritage to our mountains, guarantee the pure air and make new spaces for recreation available to neighbors ".
