Turismo Cartagena launches new web, more accessible and with updated contents (18/06/2018)

The Department of Tourism of the City of Cartagena has launched a new website, (turismo.cartagena.es) which has been carried out an expansion and update of content and has incorporated a bank of new images that makes it more attractive for the tourist.

The presentation was made by the mayor of the area of ​​Economic Strategy and Finance, Carmen Martín del Amor, who pointed out that it is a more intuitive web thanks to the structuring of the contents that has been done in response to the demand criteria. tour.

The councilor pointed out that the section Plan your trip allows the tourist to make a composition of your visit to the destination from your home, where the information regarding free visits in Cartagena Free stands out.

Also, in the Gastronomy section, information has been added about the products elaborated in an artisanal way in Cartagena and in Qué Ver, information about singular, industrial and defensive heritage has been incorporated;

as well as a new route on squares and parks in the city with tourist references.

In the space We emphasize, the Department of Tourism has established the Cartagena section with children;

and Accessible Tourism, aimed at people with disabilities and making more comfortable the planning of the trip and the stay of tourists traveling with their families with people with disabilities.

In addition, the website has an agenda that is automatically generated and allows the tourist and visitor to know what events will take place during their stay or a specific period.

The web, as Martin has specified, also allows the geolocation of all tourist accommodation, as well as other places of tourist interest, responding to technological needs.

From any section of the website you can access the buttons of the social networks Facebook and Twitter, which "will allow sharing in real time the experience at the destination with other tourists, multiplying the diffusion and the tourist promotion of the city", has added the councilor.

He also explained that the new website includes an accessible version, which adapts the web automatically and favors optimal navigation.

The councilor pointed out that in this new web portal, which has been operational since May 10, 2018, approximately, it has 57,263 visits.

PROMOTION OF THE NEW TOURIST PORTAL

Carmen Martín has finally explained that the first promotional action of the new tourist portal has been in the travel portal Minube, where thanks to a summer campaign, the most outstanding tourism products of Cartagena have been highlighted, related to festivals, culture and the sun and beach.
