Hundred and a half international experts share the latest advances in graphic engineering in the UPCT (15/06/2018)

Geometric modeling for industrial processes, augmented and virtual reality for the design of processes, additive manufacturing technologies, engineering methods applied in medicine, design methodologies, innovation in BIM and teaching technologies are some of the topics that the biannual meeting will address of the Spanish, French and Italian associations of graphic engineering, which gathers since Wednesday at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) a hundred and a half experts from many European and Asian countries.

The International Joint Conference on Mechanics, Design Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing (JCM) is held at the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering (ETSII) of the UPCT with the assistance of the honoris causa by the Polytechnic Rainer Gadow, director of the Institute of Manufacturing Technologies of Ceramic Components and Composite Materials of the University of Stuttgart, of the expert in automation of processes in the aeronautic and automotive industry of the University of Hamburg Peter Martin and of the director of the center of excellence of the Catia software, of reference in the industry, Daniel Pyzak.

"We will share methodologies and the latest advances in sectors such as industrial modeling or additive manufacturing, among many others," explains Francisco José Fernández Cañavate, president of the organizing committee.

The congress, which has the Presidency of Honor of King Felipe VI, will be inaugurated on Wednesday, June 20 at 12 noon in the Auditorium of the UPCT.
