The enclosure of the Port will host from Friday, June 8 at 8:30 p.m., the activities and free concerts that will take place throughout the weekend on the occasion of the ninth edition of the Cartagena Folk festival.
Attendees can enjoy during the celebration of the food fair festival, with Food Trucks;
craft market, children's activities, with the Folkíbero Man group;
DJ Boni Pinchamundos;
animation groups, such as the Celticue Bagpipe Band and the D'Akokan percussion group;
and live music with groups from all over the country, such as Bessarabia, OHBrotherHood, Pan de Capazo, Street Wings and La Musgaña.
The first group to perform on the main stage of Cartagena Folk will be the Castilians La Musgaña, a band of recognized prestige that celebrates its 30 years on stage.
After his long musical career, La Musgaña will present us from 22:30 a new live that tries to summarize part of the musical legacy that has been making disc to disc, concert after concert, reviewing old songs that are already essential in the repertoire of Iberian folk
An extensive tour of the instrumental music and songs of La Meseta, deepening the essence of our rich tradition and developing, through its own unpublished compositions, the aesthetic possibilities of this cultural heritage plagued with miscegenation.
The Musgaña has brought together a large part of the peninsula, as well as the United States, England, Italy, Morocco, France, Germany, Russia and many other countries, the musical tradition of Castilla y León, thanks to a modern and complex interpretation, but with the respect and fidelity to the tradition and culture inherited from our ancestors.
