The Old Cathedral will become a space of connection between music and movement.
A common space between the breathing of music and movement, full of clues, silences, murmurs and chained bursts.
This is the bet of Insuite, one of the dance performances programmed for the Mucho Más Mayo festival.
Taking as a script some of the movements of the Suites for solo cello by JS Bach, we bet on these famous scores to rediscover and transform them.
It is a work where the dance itself is the protagonist and is designed to adapt to the different spaces that make up a city.
ISABEL LÓPEZ
This interpretation will be performed by the artist Isabel López.
Currently, she develops her pedagogical work giving classes and workshops in different dance formations and artistic spaces, sharing her vision about the movement and the scene.
He collaborates actively with the company Moviment Lantana in social projects linked to dance and pedagogy.
Born in San Pedro del Pinatar in 1972, she currently resides in Barcelona.
Her artistic interest, and interest in the simplicity that distinguishes art as a search process, lead her to be in continuous transformation, studying and investigating various disciplines related to the body and movement.
That interest leads to a first piece, the solo Bailada (2009).
In recent years, new collaborations have emerged with the dancer Gustavo Lesgart, with the plastic artist Joaquín Jara and the multidisciplinary artist Víctor Zambrana, among others.
It is in 2017 when he decides to create Insuite, a solo based on his experience with the JS Bach cello Suites.
