The Puebla deputation of Puebla will once again live its patron saint festivities in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus from June 22 to July 1, although previously, on June 3, the eleventh edition of the traditional Potato Day will be celebrated.
The activities, in which the City Council of Cartagena collaborates, through the Municipal Neighborhood Board, will begin at 9:30 am, with the direct sale of potatoes to promote consumption directly from the field;
and at 10 o'clock a craft market will be open to the public.
Later, around 11 o'clock, the inauguration of the exhibition of potato varieties of Campo de Cartagena will take place;
and at 12 o'clock it will be the turn of the children and senior competition to launch potatoes into the pot.
Finally, attendees can try a tasting of baked potatoes, cooked and in tortilla at 1:30 pm.
