Pozo Estrecho distinguishes its neighbors Francisco Alcaraz, Pedro José Andújar and Ramón Navarro (23/05/2018)

The traditional Spring Festival of 'Field, Music and Flowers' of Pozo Estrecho held on Tuesday, May 22, the Day of the Galileo People.

A meal of brotherhood in honor of the galilean woman and the act of delivery of the distinctions 'Golden Plow of Campo de Cartagena' and 'Galileo of the Year' were the main events of this festive day.

A breakfast with cakes and chocolate opened the festive activities of the Day of the Galileo People, on Tuesday, May 22, of the Spring Festival of the 'Field, Music and Flowers' of Pozo Estrecho.

The galilean woman was honored at the subsequent meal, organized by the Association of Housewives San Fulgencio.

The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, shared that day with the neighbors in the fairground 'Huerto Paco Saura'.

The councilor was accompanied by the president of the Regional Assembly, Rosa Peńalver and by the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez.

Pozo Estrecho closed the festive day with an act that began at 22:00 hours, in the same fairground, and that consisted of the delivery of the distinctions 'Golden Arado del Campo de Cartagena' and 'Galileo del Ańo'.

Some awards given each year by the San Fulgencio Neighborhood Association during the local Spring Festival.

This year, the Galileo of the Year award went to the athletes Pedro José Andújar and Ramón Navarro, the first of them to win the last Ironman of Copenhagen and the second winner of the last edition of the Route of the Fortresses.

On the other hand, the Golden Arado fell to the farmer and rancher, Francisco Alcaraz Martínez.

This event was attended by Mayor Ana Belén Castejón, as well as spokespersons for the municipal groups and councilors of the corporation, such as Juan Pedro Torralba, Francisco Espejo, Manuel Padín, Carolina Palazón and Franscico Calderón.

The programming of the Spring Festival of the 'Field, Music and Flowers' will continue until June 3 with cultural activities, mixed with fun activities.
