The Lesbian Visibility to debate within the Cartagena Piensa program (02/05/2018)

The Soldadito de Plomo coffee shop hosts this Thursday, May 3, the talk-debate "Lesbian Visibility", within the Cartagena Piensa program of the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena.

It will be from 20.00 hours and in this talk will be women from the collective 'No Pears or Apples, lesbians and bisexuals', and will present the vice president of it, Mar Tornero.

The invisibility of lesbian women has been and continues to be an important factor in the process of normalization of relations between women, with a negative impact on their life trajectory and quality of life.

Even LGTBI activism continues to be a space for the majority male demand.

We will try to discuss the causes and consequences of this social fact, with the intention of advancing the visibility of women who are related to women.

Every April 26 - which was last Thursday - the global LGBTI community is concentrating to demand once again recognition and respect for their rights in what is called Lesbian Visibility Day.

This activity is included in the acts that, with this motive - the Week of Lesbian Visibility - take place in Cartagena, in this case included within the Cartagena Piensa program.
