ASID Students complete their internships in the School of Marine (28/05/2010)

The School of Marine and General Albacete Fuster has received in its facilities to a group of young people with Down syndrome gripping practices that have been developing as cleaning and maintenance workers, a practice which the closing event, held on Thursday, told the presence of the Councillor for Social Care, Antonio Calderon, along with Colonel Third and Director of the School, Carlos Julio Rey Vich.

This action is the result of Cartagena Asido joint program and the School of Infantry have been made by the inclusion of people with Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities as full citizens, through the implementation of educational practices that have been conducted within Plans Work Training Ministry of Education.

The Marine School has been working with different forms Asido Cartagena since 2006, however, is the first time they have developed a program designed to promote inclusion in the workplace.

Cartagena grabbed performs an important social role in the city through various programs that provide more normal a life as possible with specialized skills in functional rehabilitation during the first years of life.

At the same time working on family integration, school, social and employment to people with Down syndrome.

Currently serving over 100 families.
