Premiered in 1841 at the Paris Opera becoming pure and fundamental piece of classical dance, both for the treatment of romantic ideals as the use of the finest nineteenth-century stagecraft.

Interpret the first act, where Giselle, peasant girl, is in love and is matched by Loys, whom she is a villager, but that is actually Albrecht, Duke of Silesia, which is passed by a farmer to get his love.

Hilarion, the gamekeeper, is also in love with Giselle, but is rejected by her, who confesses that her love belongs to Loys.

Hilarion odds with Loys, suspected him and swears to take revenge.

The villagers celebrate the end of the harvest and Giselle is crowned as the queen of the harvest.
