Puerto de Culturas recorded more than 20,000 visitors during Holy Week (06/04/2010)

Cartagena Port of Cultures has been during this Easter more than 20,000 visitors, who had the opportunity to enjoy the many activities offered in the city, including the open day of Good Friday.

During that day, more than 3,000 people visited for free, all interpretation centers, sites and museums included in tourism in the city, you have to add that throughout the week, extended hours and remained open from Monday to Sunday, all the sites for easy access to tourists.

In addition, the two weekends of parties that were scheduled theatrical visits had a big crowd, activity guided by the hand of the pirate Morato Arraez that embarked on the boat tour, addressed the Fort Christmas where a striker had the different adventures that happened at that place.

In this regard, and given the success of such activities, the Councillor for Tourism, Javier Herrero, stressed that the Puerto de Culturas technicians are working to Easter there is always some new offering that serves to attract regular visitors to and were exposed to the centers in the past.

On this occasion, he has chosen to present the new works at Fort Christmas with the hook of the boat trips in the company of pirate Morato.

As for the origin of the visitors during this conference, 33 percent were from the Region of Murcia, 45 percent of the rest of the country and 22 percent foreigners, increasing the number of the latter with the previous year by 10 percentage points.
