More than 9,000 flowers adorn the gardens of town for Easter (25/03/2010)

The brigades of Parks and Gardens of the City of Cartagena work tirelessly for the gardens and parterres of the old town look blooming during the Easter holiday that begins tomorrow.

Dahlias, carnations, marigolds, daisies and geraniums of all colors, are just some of the 17 varieties of more than 9,000 plants have been posting this week, with a novelty, Rose Seville, about 1,500 copies, which for years not planted in the city and this time look at the Port and the Royal Street Crueceiro.

The flowers were distributed both in port areas and along the route of the processions of Holy Week.

In the coming weeks to continue with more planting flowering shrubs and plants native or adapted to the area.

While this action is usually carried out well in advance, poor weather in recent months with alternating days of cold, cloudy and rain has delayed orders to different nurseries in the region, also caused delays in planting.
